Galactically famous for its spectacular beauty, Hanalei Bay’s long half-moon sandy beach delivers! The pier was originally built in 1892 with wood and was replaced with concrete in 1921. A shed roof was built in the 1940s. Today the structure, which was severely damaged by Iniki, has been renovated. Usually you will find locals jumping off of the roof showing their bravery and skills. It has been recently replaced along with a total “Black Pot” reconstruction.
